Hello there! My name is Chris and this is a blog where I love to review all things keyboards related. On my website, you will find in-depth reviews on the latest MIDI controllers, digital pianos, keytars, and insight into the music industry.
I have been playing the piano for over 20 years and I have been experimenting with MIDI controllers for about five years now. I have been hooked on learning more about keyboards because I find them incredibly interesting.
Below is a video of one of my band’s biggest songs, “Breaking Up My Bones.” In 2014, we signed a major record label deal with Fueled By Ramen Records and have since toured with bands such as twenty one pilots, smallpools, Misterwives, Finish Ticket, The Mowglis, Panic! at the Disco, Dashboard Confessional, Against The Current, and Magic Man.
About 5 years ago I started touring with my band, so I like to share as much insight as I can when I do all of my reviews. Because I have been able to tour, I thought it would be a fun idea to share all of my knowledge I have gained over the years in hopes of helping others.
I currently own the following keyboards:
- Dave Smith Prophet 12
- Roland FA 08
- Korg microKorg
- Novation Launchkey 49
- Macbook (for music production)
- Yamaha P45
- Akai MPK Mini MK2
In this video below you can hear me playing a piano version of a song from my band, Vinyl Theatre.
Not only is it my passion to play the piano, but it is to also write songs. The art of writing music and composing is something that is in my blood, and I am happy that I am able to blog about my experiences on this website.
Why You Should Trust Our Reviews
Keyboard Kraze was founded with the idea that there are a lot of websites out there that are not transparent in their reviews. I wanted to create a website that is actually run by a real & accomplished pianist who has a genuine passion for providing others with great insight.
You will notice in my reviews that I aim towards transparency. If I think a digital piano or MIDI keyboard is not the greatest, I say that right in the review.
